matrispin©, is our tailor-made product innovation for the production of customized protein-based nanofibrous nonwovens using elastin-based electrospinning. The combination of elastin with gelatin or collagen enables the production of fiber structures that mimic the natural tissue of the extracellular matrix and thus ideal for R&D applications in the tissue engineering and medical research. Years of research activities and process experience in electrospinning enables the production of electrospinning solution with an elastin content of up to 90% w/v when combined with gelatin and up to 50% w/v when combined with collagen.
